Sorry I haven't had a chance to blog the past couple of days as we have been so busy and getting a lot of awesome press and blog postings. I do have some good pics of the booth. We made it into a lot of awesome articles like New York Times blog and Slashdot. People should go online to www.mindtouch.com and get more info about our press and ways to substantiate a wiki. Now on to the pics.
Our booth activity was aweosme. WE blew through all of our t-shirts and slap bracelets in the first day. We had a great booth girl that was getting all of the attendees to notice our booth along with handing out fruit and slap bracelets.
The pic to the right is a picture of Mark at the Intel booth. Aparently he has a side stock phot job that he hasn't told us about.
The pic on the left is of our party at the red lion in Portland. It was a blast and we had a good turn out. Check us out on the press releases and blogs that hit this week. Other than that I will try to update my blog more often with updates on my life and on MindTouch.

Pictures that I promised
Here are the pics that I promised from my last post. This first one is when we were buying supplies for the booth and I decided to take a break from the search to get a cool pic. This other pic is of me hugging carpet for the booth as it was hard to find it. We went to a couple of places and the second to last place that we found had the carpet but the machine to cut it was broken. I had one pic of me sitting in the back of our Bronco as there was not enough room in the front because of booth stuff. I will update more pics in the next couple of days.

It's been a Hard Days Night
2nd Day in Portland!
Well it was an exciting day in Portland. We got a majority of the booth setup by 3:00pm and then went out to get a couple of things. We had to go to numerous places and endure various locals that thought they knew the way to where we were going. I have come to the conclusion that no one in Portland knows the city. Some of the final things we needed for the booth were things like carpet and helium for our balloons. We looked for so long trying to find turf for our booth that when we finally found it I was overjoyed!
I will add another posting later with more pics as Blogger is not allowing pics to be uploaded right now.
To Be Continued...

Start of the MindTouch setup at OSCON and Special News Release
Here is the start to our booth at OSCON. It is coming along quite well. I will have more pics up tomorrow of the final booth layout. We were busy getting the booth ready. ALso we are coming out with one of our releases which is:
On Wednesday at OSCON (booth 911), MindTouch is releasing DekiWiki – a MediaWiki fork which delivers a highly extensible, scalable and interoperable wiki. MindTouch DekiWiki is being released under the GNU General Public License (GPL), with libraries under LGPL. Built on MindTouch’s Dream framework, it is a service oriented architecture (SOA) that allows distribution of both data and _behavior_ across any device and platform, employs AJAX extensively to enrich the user experience, stores in XML, with Apache’s Lucene for search indexing. DekiWiki affords flexibility in the creation of highly distributed composite applications as well as providing an unmatched off-the-shelf collaborative space for business and organizations of all sizes. Stay tuned to www.opengarden.org for more details...
Look at the app, dig into the code, and see for yourself why this is going to cause fireworks.
After getting the booth setup we ventured out to get a couple of items that we needed to pickup for the booth. I got an awesome picture of the train station by where we are staying. Other than that keep watching my site for more updates to come.
Portland is an Interesting Start
Well we arrived in Portland, OR for OSCON 2006. I am out here with work as we will have a booth at the convention. The city is beautiful and I can't wait to explore it more. The above pics were taken from our hotel room across from the convention center. It is a nice hotel. We also got two apartments through a corporate housing company. They are nice apartments once we got in them. They gave us the code to get into the building but didn't give us a way to get up to the actual room. We ended up sleeping in the lobby until I ran into a resident that allowed me to access our room via the elevator. The rooms are really nice and I am looking forward to getting some sleep. Even being on minnesota time I still went to bed at around 5:00am after we checked out the places we were staying and connected up with everyone that was coming. I will be updating all week so check back for more pics of portland and of the conference. I'm sure to have some good photo ops.

Fireworks!
I went down to the Taste of MN. It was a good time. I saw Davy Jones singing some Monkey's songs. Then we checked out the fireworks. It was a good display...will probably check it out again on the 4th as that one will be the best. Here are a couple of pics.
