Awesome Weekend

I just got back from an awesome weekend. Spent some time relaxing, bought a wii, and hung out with my cousin that was in town. It was one of the best weekends I've had in a while. Not much else to say, I'm stoked that I finally got my wii, it was very covert because when I got to Best Buy they were almost whispering so that a frenzy didn't break out. The sales guy said, (whispering) "I'm going to go into the back and will get a wii, then I will bring it to the front counter where you can buy it. " I was like, (whispering) "Yay". Anyhoo, now I have it and it is a lot of fun. Well worth the wait to use my Best Buy gift cards :)

MindTouch Deki Wiki Hayes is out

MindTouch Deki Wiki Hayes release is out! See Press Release I've talked about this release for a couple of posts now but couldn't spill the beans on the official date. We launched it today in time for the start of OSCON 2007. Currently you can download the source at sourceforge. The update for the Virtual Appliance will be coming out in early august. We have a lot of cool features in Hayes including:

• LDAP
• Tagging
• Skinning
• Redesigned image gallery

Someday I'll have a Wii of my own

So I've been trying to get a Wii for the past month now. My issue isn't the lack of Wii's out there, it is my ultimate desire to get a good deal. I received some gift cards for Best Buy recently and am determined to use them for the Wii. The one thing that I found out is that even with all of the new technology that is available to retailers, trying to get information like which stores have a Wii, is impossible. Now I can understand issues with people buying one while I'm on my way to the store. But I was in one store and they said that 10 miles down the road they had 19 Wii's. When I got there, there were none. Now I can even forgive bad inventory management, but when I ask when one is coming in then I am told a generic possibly Wednesday or possibly Sunday. Whatever happened presales. I don't mind paying in advance, even paying a little extra, as long as I am guaranteed a Wii and don't have to waste my time calling and visiting the stores. Sorry, didn't mean to vent, but sometimes I get frustrated. I will get my Wii, oh yes, I will get my Wii.

Crazy Busy

Hey all....I've been so crazy busy lately. I've been trying to get my place in order and still recovering from the wedding, in a good way. I'm also super stoked about our next release of MindTouch Deki. The next release has some awesome functionality that is currently in beta. You'll hear some more about it soon and I'll be posting more about it as it gets closer. Check out some videos on the framework of Deki at OpenGarden
Other than that not much else is new. I joined the facebook craze today. I've been resisting for a while as I have so many other memberships to manage but I gave in. Yay, facebook has conquered another user :)

Sorry I'm late again

I know I said I would post more frequently but I have a good excuse this time. I got married! It was an amazing day and everything went perfectly. It was really cool to have everyone there from our families. People got to put names with faces. Our band, Barnaby Wild, was awesome. They played great music and were able to do all of the requests. The dance floor was always packed. Now that the the wedding is done, I feel like I can take a breather. It has been an amazing year so far. I'll be updating my blog some more this week, so stay tuned.
